Arth – A gem in Pune.

After Mumbai, Arth has opened in Pune in the Westin Hotel, dazzling interiors by Gauri Khan makes this place a must visit, another thing what it stands out for is the food. Gas free cooking and recipes sourced from her personal life and travels has taken Arth to the next level by Chef Amninder Sandhu.

Chef Sandhu made sure that we have a great time and the meal started with white chocolate balls filled with spiced Pani puri water.

Kashmiri morels ( mushrooms) sourced at around Rs 40k due to its exclusivity were found in this dish Morels Stuffed, stuffed with mushroom mince, served with nachini and walnut soil in an amazing presentation.

Mutton chops were cooked to perfection and presented in a very old traditional way of slow cooking.

Large dishes were Deomali, Mutton curry cooked in bamboo and served with jasmine rice. Pearl potatoes was one dish you should not miss, served with Dahi ki khamiri roti and Choley Kulchey.

Another outstanding dish on the menu is the whole goat, you have to pre order this dish 48 hours in advance, this will be tried next time. Till then you do not miss this Gem in Pune.

Deewan Khana

Deewan Khana is a new place opened in Balewadi, loved the traditional and modern decor with a Maharashtrian theme here. The cuisine doesn’t disappoint if you are looking for an awesome Maharashtrian meal . The staff knows what they are serving and are very pleasant to interact with.

We were invited for a traditional lunch and started the course with Mutton Kheema Unde, a soft and succulent Kabeb which melts once eaten. A must have if you are a meat lover.

Mutton Chops in green masala was a coconut green chilli marination with perfectly cooked mutton chops. The chops were not very spicy and gave a fresh appeal to the dish.

The showstopper was the unlimited Mutton thali. It has been a long time since we have had a mutton thali so delicious . The bhakri was soft and complimented the mutton dishes. The thali consisted of mutton achari, mutton sukha and mutton rassa. The thali should be enjoyed with a refreshing glass of solkadi which had a soothing flavour for a sunny day.

Purnalu, an absolute stunner. It’s a by product of puranpoli and it is deep fried. The stuffing is not very sweet and is enhanced by the dollop of ghee which you can pour on it. This dessert is a must try and i can assure you it will get over before you realize it.

Chikki Icecream, a crisp and sweet flavour chikki ice cream. A different dish which I really enjoyed. The peanuts complimented the vanilla ice cream.

Overall a must visit if you are looking for a VFM meal and a traditional one too.

Black Dog Easy Evenings.

Black Dog Easy Evenings is hosting some fabulous events all over the country.

The recent event hosted by Black Dog was at The Hub Lounge in Hinjewadi . The event was a standup act by Atul Khatri .

I being a huge fan of Atul Khatri just could not miss this opportunity.

The best part about these events are the signature Black Dog cocktails such as the Black Dog Breakfast which was spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg to give you the perfect flavor of the drink . My personal favourite was the Apple Spritzer, the soothing flavour of apple juice and the hit of Black Dog just simply complimented the drink.

It was a fun evening with laughter and an excellent show hosted by #blackdogeasyevenings.

Vh1 Supersonic 2018 day one sure has got Punekars grooving! The first day of India’s biggest music festival concluded on a high note as Pune shook its leg to the wacky trio and top- notch headliner, Major Lazer’s popular numbers. Brimming with quirky festival vibe, the first day of Vh1 Supersonic 2018 was a massive hit with Major Lazer getting the crowd excited as they stepped on stage.

Moreover, music lovers were in for a toxic treat with bass music kingpin, Nucleya taking on the stage. Punekars turned out in huge numbers and went wild as Nucleya set the stage on fire. Nucleya who is known for bass heavy and wild live performances, upped the game this time around as he left the ever- lively crowd wanting for more. While Madboy Mink made their fans go wild in the Live Arena; Calm Chor, DJ Moncity and Johnny B gave music lovers enough reasons to shake their leg. The start to Day two was more like a therapeutic session as the crowd immersed themselves in a perfect mix of all things exciting and entertaining.
Pune is serving up the latest hotbed for tourists and local crowd alike with the massive line up with Vh1 Supersonic 2018. Reviving Pune’s party scene, day three was all about mind- boggling music that spanned across different genres. Ranging from the newly added genres like rock and hip- hop to good old trance and EDM, the festival had something for everybody. With uber cool artists and well-curated music, Day three at Vh1 Supersonic served as the perfect getaway.

The third day welcomed a multitude of artists across genres who stole the show. Penthouze in Nibm Road.

Penthouze one of Pune’s favourite nightclubs launched its newest property at Dorabjee Heritage Mall, NIBM.

A fabulous spot for drinks, food and entertainment.
The honed aesthetics, energetic vibe and eccentric elements add to the overall mood of the space
Located on the 4th floor of the mall, this dynamic space is spread over 7,000 sq feet and is designed to luxuriously accommodate up to 600-700 guests. Divided into three sections, Penthouze NIBM has an indoor section which includes a dance floor and a bar area along with an outdoor open to sky lounge with spectacular sunsets, making it one of the NIBM’s most trendy nightlife spots. The entire experience of this place is reinventing.

Penthouze NIBM is the ideal spot for the people to unwind and party after a long day with a great ambience and breathtaking view.

The food menu offers Middle Eastern cuisine and has a perfect small bite section to go with the ambience and mood. The must try are the fries like the Home Cut Fries, Yam Chips, Zatar Fish, Turkish Sis Touak, Greek Prawns and Spiced Pineapple with Basil Mascarpone.

The cocktails and signature drinks at Penthouze NIBM are specially crafted using the most premium ingredients and trending flavours. The star drinks include The Ultimate Classics like the Rum Cooler which contains white rum, orange and lime juice, sugar syrup, lemonade and triple sec. The Margarita consists of tequila, Cointreau and lime juice. Other cocktails like the Martini Red Belly, Mojito and Indo Cuba Libre are extremely refreshing.

Some of the dishes we did taste were, Yam Chips, a perfect start to a scrumptious meal. Crisp and a healthier option than the potato chips. The chips are served with a sour cream dip and a mango sauce.

Zatar Fish, flavourful fish coated with zatar spice. The fish was moist and extremely fresh . Perfectly cooked fish served with a good blend of flavours.

Chicken Kheema Paratha, a classic dish with a twist. It not only looked amazing but tasted fantastic. Spicy kheema in a paratha served with a dollop of butter.

Prawns and Paneer Gano Wrap, a healthy option for all the people looking for a snack. Perfectly cooked prawns served with an in house dill yogurt. The wrap was my favorite and is definitely a must try.

Zatar Chicken Leg, a meal fit for the kings. Juicy chicken legs served with pita bread and salad. The marination was similar to the zatar fish. The mains have a quite interesting concept where you can pair your food with a choice of sides.

Basboosa, a coconut flavoured cake with pineapple syrup. It tasted good and the ricotta cheese gave it a great contrast and balanced the sweetness of the cake.

Spiced Pineapple, a simple dessert but tasted fantastic. Sliced pineapple Sautéed in sugar along with a special blend of spices. Subtle flavours yet so good.

Penthouze NIBM will be hosting some exciting gigs aiming to make it an enthralling experience for all the guests along with their delectable food, piquant cocktails, and rooftop view.
